The main characteristic of this chapel is that it is ecumenical, that is that it can celebrate ceremonies in any religion. It is located in one of the most exclusive zones of Acapulco, surrounded by dense vegetation and on the highest point of the hill where you can enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the bay. Its enormous white cross can be seen from many points of the city.

Catedral De Ntra. Senora De La Soledad

This beautiful Cathedral, home to the Virgin of Solitude, is located in the Zocalo of the port and was constructed in 1930. It is decorated in a simple Byzantine style. The Virgin of Solitude is the patron of Acapulco since King Philip II sent it from Spain so that the royalist troops would crown her as the general of the troops and protect them from the rebels during the War of Independence of Mexico.

Isla La Roqueta
An impressive ecological reserve where you can enjoy a fun day on the beach or practicing activities such as snorkeling or diving. This small island housed the pirates that pursued the galleons. The crossing to this island, in glass-bottom boats, allows you to contemplate the multicolored fish and the Virgin of Guadalupe, submerged in the ocean only 23 feet down. There is a walkway that surrounds the island.

Impressive cliffs 112 feet high where brave natives perform a beautiful diving spectacle by jumping from the top to the waves below, a depth of only 3 or 4 meters. The spot offers fabulous view of the open ocean and beautiful sunsets. The schedule of the dives is: 1:00PM, 7:30PM, 8:30PM, 9:30PM and 10:30PM daily.

Laguna de Coyuca o Pie de la Cuesta

Located in the municipality of Coyuca de Benitez, it is 10 kilometers long and a maximum width of 5 kilometers. This site protects a great number and variety of flora and fauna of the costal region that you can see by taking a boat ride offered by suppliers. This is the ideal place to practice water sports, such as waterskiing or fishing. Within the lagoon, you can find the islands Big, Philippines, Bird Island, La Montosa, La Pelona and Caballos.

Laguna De Puerto Marques
Surrounded by exuberant vegetation and the natural habitat of several animal species, such as herons, seagulls, fish, crocodiles, among other tropical birds. The main characteristic of this lagoon is the brown color of the water, and also the smell of sulphur which can be perceived because of the mangroves that abound in this area and that discharge mineral elements that enrich the waters and give live to an entire ecosystem.

Laguna De Tres Palos
Located to the west of Acapulco Bay, close to Acapulco's International Airport, it enjoys an exceptional natural beauty and exotic scenery the entire length of 15 kilometers where you can enjoy cruises to observe the diverse species of birds that live in the interior of the lagoon, along with the impressive mangrove that cover its edges. You can also enjoy the opportunity to enjoy an outstanding beauty treatment with the classic masks prepared from the black clay, the principal characteristic of the lagoons of this area, whose natural properties allow the exfoliation and regeneration of the skin.
